My experience at the Harris County District Attorney's Office involved the prosecution of simple misdemeanors all the way up to Capital Murder. While at the District Attorney's Office, I worked in several specialized divisions, which include the following: Child Abuse Unit, Narcotics Task Force, Civil Rights Division, and Police Integrity Division. In addition, I spent 5 years as a Chief Prosecutor, assigned in the 351st, 339th and 177th District Court.

My experience at the District Attorney's Office allows me to have a unique perspective on a client's criminal case. I have been on the other side and I am intimately aware of the processes that criminal cases go through. In addition, the people who are handling those cases are former co-workers or people who I have experience dealing with on a daily basis. I am positioned to know the adversary very well. My experience in trial as a Defense Attorney has shown me just how valuable this insider information truly is.

Having worked in the Civil Rights/Police Integrity Division gave me insight into police policies and procedures. I have personally been present at over 45 shooting scene investigations. Knowing how the police operate, and having reviewed countless complaints against police officers, I am familiar with how the police will sometimes cut corners, shade the truth and write misleading information in offense reports. I have prosecuted police misconduct and know that it occurs. I am uniquely qualified to deal with these types of issues.

Currently, there is not one Judge in the Harris County Criminal District Courts or the Harris County Criminal Courts at law who does not know who I am and each is personally aware and familiar with my level of experience and quality of work.

I have had extensive experience handling both felonies and misdemeanor offenses. I have handled the following types of cases: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Murder, Capital Murder, Aggravated Robbery, Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping, Kidnapping, Forgery, Driving While Intoxicated, Theft, Burglary of a Habitation/Building/Motor Vehicle, Sexual Offenses, Assault, Arson, Theft by Check, Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon, Terroristic Threat, Disorderly Conduct, and Official Oppression.

As your attorney, my mission is to provide you with the best legal representation by fighting for you and making sure you are treated fairly. You need competent and compassionate representation from an attorney who can defend the accusations against you from a place of experience, integrity and respect.
